“Total Covid-19 Cases in Singapore Now at 68,901, With 110 Unlinked Infections”
Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 241 new Covid-19 cases on September 6, 2021, bringing the total number of infections to 68,901.
Out of the new cases, 235 are locally transmitted, with 91 of them linked to previous cases and already under quarantine. Additionally, 34 cases were detected through surveillance, while 110 cases remain unlinked. The country has also reported six imported cases, all of whom were already on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival.
Six seniors aged over 70, who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, remain at high risk of serious illness due to the virus.
The Ministry also confirmed that 30 new cases have been linked to six bus interchange clusters, contributing to a total of 504 cases across eight bus interchange clusters identified so far. However, no new clusters were reported on this day, and four existing clusters have been closed.
As of now, Singapore is actively managing 53 clusters, ranging from 3 to 1,155 infections.
