Nearly 10% of Singapore’s Population Vaccinated as Rollout Continues
As Singapore accelerates its Covid-19 vaccination campaign, more than 500,000 residents have received at least the first dose of the vaccine, according to an announcement made by Lawrence Wong, the Education Minister and co-chair of the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF), on March 14, 2021.
This milestone means nearly 10% of Singapore’s population has been vaccinated so far. Wong also referenced a previous update from Health Minister Gan Kim Yong, who reported that over 350,000 Singapore residents had received their first dose by March 5, 2021, during the Committee of Supply debates.
The rollout continues as Singapore works toward protecting its population against the pandemic, with plans for further doses to follow in the coming months.
