The boy was reportedly thrown to the ground repeatedly despite showing signs of distress, resulting in a critical condition.
A heartbreaking incident has left a 7-year-old Taiwanese boy, known as Huang, in a coma after allegedly being thrown onto the ground more than 20 times during a Judo lesson. The child is now in a vegetative state following the brutal training session.
The event unfolded on April 21 when Huang began his Judo lesson at 7 pm. According to Taiwanese news outlet Liberty Times, Huang started feeling unwell during the lesson, complaining of nausea. His concerned uncle spoke up to the coach, but the coach dismissed the symptoms, attributing them to an overly large meal.
Despite Huang’s complaints of pain in his head and legs and his pleas to stop, the coach allegedly continued instructing two boys to practice their throws on Huang. The coach even reportedly threatened to throw the child onto the ground himself if he did not comply.
The boy was thrown to the ground approximately six to seven times before losing consciousness, bringing the total number of throws to an alarming 27. When Huang’s uncle realized his nephew had stopped crying out in pain, he was horrified to find the boy pale, with his eyes rolled back. The coach, however, dismissed the situation, suggesting the boy was pretending to faint and mentioning that the vomiting might have caused him to choke.
The incident has drawn significant outrage, with the boy’s injuries being compared to the trauma of being hit by a car.
