Nelly Korda Claims First Major Title at 2021 Women’s PGA Championship

Korda Seals Victory with Three-Shot Lead, Becomes World No. 1

Nelly Korda secured her first major title at the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship, finishing three shots ahead of Lizette Salas at the Atlanta Athletic Club. The 22-year-old American, whose victory elevates her to the world number one ranking, closed with a solid four-under 68 on the final day.

Korda, daughter of Australian Open winner Petr Korda, had a stellar round, scoring an eagle and birdie on both the front and back nine. Her impressive run of nearly 50 holes without a dropped shot ended on the par-three 15th when she found the water, but it didn’t derail her victory.
