Operators Can Choose from Area-Bound, Time-Bound, or Combined Area and Time-Bound VDS Measures
Starting March 7, coffee shops and canteens in Singapore will have the flexibility to implement one of three options for vaccinated-differentiated safe management measures (VDS). This update, shared by Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, Amy Khor, on Sunday (March 6), allows groups of up to five fully vaccinated people to dine-in at these venues.
Currently, coffee shops and hawker centres that do not enforce VDS checks restrict dine-in groups to just two fully vaccinated individuals. With the new measures, operators can choose from three VDS options: area-bound VDS, time-bound VDS, and a combination of both area and time-bound VDS.
