Husband Provides Update on Pregnant Wife’s Incident at NUH’s A&E, Suggests Baby May Not Have Been Lost There

After several meetings with NUH, the husband clarifies details surrounding his wife’s tragic situation and the possible cause of her pregnancy loss.

A week after an incident involving a nine-month pregnant woman who reportedly lost her baby after being left unattended at the National University Hospital’s (NUH) emergency department, her husband has provided an update on the situation.

In a Facebook post on March 31, the husband, identified as Tham, clarified that his wife, Lee, might not have lost the baby at the emergency department as previously suggested. He expressed gratitude to NUH for its cooperation and mentioned that facts had been clarified following several meetings with hospital staff.

Tham initially shared his wife’s distressing experience in a post on March 21, revealing that Lee had been bleeding heavily while bathing at home. After arriving at NUH’s emergency department around 10:30 p.m., she was informed after waiting for two hours that her baby no longer had a heartbeat.

In the latest update, Tham shared that while Lee had indeed been bleeding at home, the bleeding had subsided by the time she arrived at the hospital, suggesting that the loss may have occurred before her visit to the A&E.
