A tragic accident near Eu Tong Sen Street claims the life of a bus driver, with another person injured.
A bus driver, aged 62, tragically lost his life after his vehicle collided with a lorry on Wednesday, March 12. The incident took place near the intersection of Eu Tong Sen Street and Outram Road, with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) being alerted to the scene at approximately 11.15am.
According to SCDF, two individuals were transported to Singapore General Hospital following the accident. While the bus driver was found unconscious and later passed away in hospital, a 47-year-old passenger was conscious and admitted with non-life-threatening injuries.
A video circulating online shows a white bus mounted on the kerb, obstructed by a fallen tree, providing a glimpse of the aftermath of the crash.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
