Cristiano Ronaldo Returns to Manchester United in €20m Deal”

“United finalize agreement with Juventus, ending City’s interest in the star.”

Manchester United have completed a stunning deal to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford after agreeing to pay Juventus €20 million for the Portuguese forward. The deal, which includes an initial €15 million plus potential add-ons of up to €8 million, is subject to Ronaldo passing a medical and obtaining a visa.

The transfer came after a dramatic turn of events, as Manchester City had appeared to be the frontrunners to sign Ronaldo. However, after talks between Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, and Juventus officials on Wednesday, City announced on Friday that they were no longer pursuing the deal. This opened the door for United, who had been in negotiations with Mendes, to secure Ronaldo’s return to the club.

Ronaldo, who first joined Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon as a teenager, spent six successful years at Old Trafford before moving to Real Madrid in 2009 for a then-record £80 million transfer. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is now set to return to the club where he made his name.
