A verbal altercation unfolds at McDonald’s Oasis Terraces with a customer hurling insults at a staff member.
On July 24, an upsetting scene took place at the McDonald’s outlet in Punggol’s Oasis Terraces when a customer verbally attacked a staff member, hurling vulgarities and demanding a refund. A 50-second video capturing the incident was shared on the Complaint Singapore Facebook group, showing the customer shouting, “Enough!” before holding up a receipt and seemingly requesting a refund.
The confrontation escalated as the staff member calmly asked the customer why he was being abusive and requested his name for the police. In response, the man defiantly told her to call the police, but refused to provide his contact details, stating that giving his number would lead to police involvement.
The situation has drawn attention to the increasing instances of disrespectful behavior towards service staff. The police are aware of the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
