The video, shared on the studio’s Instagram story, featured two women seemingly mocking a cultural gesture by shaking their heads while saying “Happy Deepavali.”

The 14-second video included the women laughing in the background and one of them remarking, “My head/hair cannot turn,” while performing the head movement typically associated with certain Indian cultural practices. The video quickly garnered negative reactions online, with many finding the portrayal offensive.

In response to the backlash, the fitness studio issued a formal apology, acknowledging the insensitivity of the video and stating that it did not intend to offend anyone. The incident highlights the importance of cultural sensitivity, particularly when sharing content related to significant festivals like Deepavali.
