FairPrice Clementi Outlet Closes After Employee Tests Positive for Covid-19

The store will remain shut for deep cleaning, with all staff placed on leave and undergoing swab tests.

NTUC FairPrice announced the temporary closure of its outlet at Block 451, Clementi Avenue 3, after an employee tested positive for Covid-19. The employee, who had been last at work on May 26, had recently received her first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. She is currently in a quarantine facility, with FairPrice providing support to her and her family.

In accordance with the National Environment Agency’s guidelines, the store will be closed from June 1 to June 3 for a thorough deep cleaning and disinfection. All staff members have been placed on leave and will undergo swab tests. FairPrice has apologized for the inconvenience and is collaborating with health authorities for contact tracing. This follows a similar closure in May at another FairPrice location due to a positive Covid-19 case.
