Singapore Reports 120 New Covid-19 Cases, 42 Unlinked Cases; 8 New Clusters Identified

Total Cases Reach 64,981 as Singapore Struggles with Rising Infections

Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 120 new Covid-19 cases on July 31, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 64,981. The new cases include 117 locally transmitted infections, with 42 of them unlinked to known clusters.

Of the 117 local cases, 26 are connected to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster, and one is tied to the KTV cluster. Additionally, 67 cases were already under quarantine, while eight were detected through surveillance efforts.

There are currently 71 active clusters in Singapore, with the addition of eight new clusters. Among the cases, seven seniors aged over 70 remain at high risk, as they are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

The country also reported three imported cases—one detected upon arrival and two who developed symptoms during their stay-home notice or isolation.

Singapore continues to manage a delicate balance between controlling the virus spread and minimizing the impact on daily life, as the situation evolves.
