10,312 Local Infections Detected via ART; Six New Deaths Reported
On February 4, 2022, Singapore reported 13,208 new Covid-19 cases as of 12pm, with the majority being locally transmitted. The breakdown of the cases includes 13,046 local transmissions and 162 imported cases. Unfortunately, six new deaths were also reported, bringing the total death toll to 866.
The country has recorded 379,681 Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. Notably, 10,336 new infections were detected through Antigen Rapid Tests (ART), with 10,312 being local cases and 24 being imported. The weekly infection growth rate has risen to 1.39, an increase from the previous day’s figure of 1.23.
As of the latest data, 998 patients are currently hospitalized, with 96 requiring oxygen supplementation and 15 in intensive care.
