Singapore Woman Hospitalized After Taking Ivermectin for Covid-19, Influenced by Church Friends

Daughter Calls Out Church Friends for Recommending the Drug and Convincing Her Mother mRNA Vaccines Go Against Their Faith

A woman in Singapore was hospitalized after taking ivermectin, a parasitic treatment, for Covid-19, allegedly influenced by friends from her church who recommended the drug. Her daughter, Vanessa Koh Wan Ling, took to Facebook on October 3 to share the incident, calling out the dangerous advice her mother received and naming those involved.

Koh’s mother was admitted to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department after suffering from several side effects, including vomiting, severe joint pain, and an inability to walk or stand. These symptoms, according to Koh, were directly caused by consuming ivermectin without medical supervision.

In her post, Koh revealed that her mother’s church friends convinced her to take ivermectin instead of following conventional medical advice. The friends also persuaded her that mRNA vaccines were against their religion and that Jesus would directly guide them if they were meant to receive the vaccine. Koh expressed her concern over the influence these beliefs had on her mother’s health choices.
