Singaporean Community Rallies to Support Homeless Mother and Daughter

Public Fulfills Furniture and Appliance Wishlist in Just 10 Minutes

A mother and her seven-year-old daughter were left homeless in December 2020 after being forced out of their home with only S$85 to their name. With no other options, the pair sought help from Member of Parliament Sun Xueling, who quickly intervened.

Sun detailed in a Facebook post on January 27 the steps taken to assist the duo, which included securing a rental flat for them. Remarkably, when their need for furniture and appliances was made public, Singaporeans fulfilled their entire wishlist within 10 minutes, showcasing extraordinary solidarity and compassion.

This heartwarming response underscores the power of community support in the face of hardship, turning a dire situation into a hopeful new beginning for the mother and daughter.
