“Popular Hawker Stall Expands with Fourth Location, First Mall Outlet”
The Original Vadai, known for its delicious and unique fritters, is set to open a new outlet at Century Square, Tampines, in mid-September 2021. This marks the brand’s fourth outlet, with the other locations in Beach Road, Joo Chiat, and Amoy Street. Notably, this is their first outlet in a mall.
The popular hawker stall has gained recognition for its freshly made dough, large prawns, and spicier green chilies, which make their vadai stand out from the rest. Though the store only found a permanent location in 2019, the family behind the business has been serving up the beloved snack at night markets for decades.
Fans of The Original Vadai can now enjoy the tasty treat at a more convenient location in the heart of Tampines.
