Thundery Showers to Continue in Singapore for the Remainder of April 2021

With above-average rainfall expected, Singapore will experience frequent thundery showers and gusty winds throughout the second half of April.

Singapore’s weather will continue to be marked by thundery showers and gusty winds for the second half of April 2021. Following a rainy start to the month, the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) has forecasted that these conditions will persist, driven by strong solar heating of land areas.

Over the next two weeks, widespread thundery showers are expected, particularly in the early hours of the morning. In the afternoons, parts of the island will experience moderate to heavy showers with frequent lightning.

With rainfall expected to be above average for the month, temperatures will vary, with daily maximums ranging between 33°C and 34°C. On rainier days, the minimum temperature could drop to around 22°C.

The forecast also predicts light and variable winds during the later part of the fortnight, contributing to the persistent wet weather. For those looking to avoid the rain, staying indoors and taking a nap might be a good option!
