Woman falls from a high floor after attending a clinic appointment; investigation underway
A 27-year-old woman tragically lost her life after falling from a high floor at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) on May 12. The woman had attended a clinic appointment earlier that morning and was accompanied by her family.
Witnesses discovered her at the escalator lobby on the Basement 2 floor of the hospital’s Medical Centre. CCTV footage revealed that she had climbed over the railing at level 6 before falling. Medical staff responded quickly and rushed her to the emergency department, but despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
TTSH has expressed their condolences and is offering support to the woman’s family through doctors and medical social workers. Authorities are currently investigating the incident in collaboration with the police.
