Waker Chicken Expands with New Outlet in Bedok

The popular Korean-style fried chicken stall opens its second location, offering authentic and affordable fried chicken to the East.

Waker Chicken, a beloved food stall known for its crispy and tender Korean-style fried chicken, has opened a new outlet in Bedok. The new stall, which opened on December 24, 2021, is located at 211 New Upper Changi Road, within a coffee shop near Bedok Point Shopping Mall.

Waker Chicken’s original outlet at 40 Holland Drive gained a loyal following, drawing long queues for its signature fried chicken. While there was previously a branch at 125 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh, it has since been rebranded as Jade’s Chicken.

Founded by two Koreans living in Singapore, Noh Tae Woo and Kim Jinho, Waker Chicken is owned by Kim’s uncle in Seoul. The stall prides itself on using ingredients directly imported from Korea, ensuring that the fried chicken is both authentic and affordable.

Fans can expect to enjoy a variety of crispy chicken dishes at the new location, with Noh himself often seen frying the chicken and serving up wings to delighted customers.
