As of April 23, the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Singapore has confirmed 39 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number to 60,943. Among these, two community cases and one dormitory case were reported, with locations like Wisma Atria and Lucky Plaza listed as new places visited by infectious individuals.
Case 62285 is a 33-year-old Indonesian male working as a sea crew member. He arrived in Singapore on February 4 and served the Stay-Home Notice (SHN) until February 18. His test results were negative at that time, but a routine test conducted on April 20 during his time aboard a vessel came back positive. He was asymptomatic and was transferred to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) for further treatment.
Case 62294, a 38-year-old male from Indonesia, was in Singapore on a Short-Term Visit Pass for a work project. He arrived on March 28, completed his SHN, and was tested twice, both results coming back negative. However, during a pre-departure test on April 22, he was found to be positive for Covid-19. He was sent to Mount Elizabeth Hospital and is currently in isolation.
Additionally, Case 62273 is a 21-year-old Indian male who works at Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard and resides at SCM Tuas Lodge. This case was detected during routine testing on April 19, and his test results came back positive the following day. He had previously tested negative in prior rounds of testing and had received his first dose of the vaccine in March.
Wisma Atria and Lucky Plaza have been added to the list of locations visited by these individuals while they were infectious. The public is urged to remain vigilant and adhere to safe distancing measures as authorities continue to monitor the situation.
