Tragic accident occurs after woman attempts shortcut at popular coastal spot.
A woman has tragically died after falling from a cliff at Durdle Door, a famous coastal beauty spot in Dorset. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, when witnesses reported hearing the woman shout, “I’m coming down,” before losing her footing on loose rocks and falling approximately 30 meters.
Dorset police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall, with the woman, later named as Tahira Jabeen from Birmingham, pronounced dead at the scene.
She was reportedly trying to take a shortcut when the accident occurred. An online fundraising page set up to support her family described her as a “caring and jolly person” who leaves behind five daughters. The beach was crowded at the time, and another woman, believed to be a relative, was treated for shock by emergency services. The tragedy has left the community mourning the loss of a beloved individual.
