Young Singapore GrabFood Rider Faces S$100,000 Medical Bill After Serious Accident, Family Seeks Donations

Mohammed Ali, who was preparing to enlist in National Service, is left with a huge medical debt following a severe accident while working to support his family.

A young GrabFood delivery rider in Singapore, Mohammed Ali, was severely injured in a serious accident on April 10 along Toh Guan Road, leaving his family with an overwhelming medical bill of over S$100,000. The accident occurred around 8:40 pm while Ali was delivering food.

His elder brother, Elfy Andriann, shared the heartbreaking details in a Facebook post, explaining the financial strain on their family and the potential long-term effects on Ali’s health. Ali, who had recently graduated from ITE and was awaiting his enlistment into National Service, had been working as a delivery rider to help support his family.

The post also revealed that Ali had initially started delivering food by bicycle due to the family’s financial struggles before acquiring a motorcycle and obtaining his rider’s license. His family is now seeking public donations to cover the skyrocketing medical expenses.
